ALPLA Videobot - HDPE and rHDPE
HDPE is short for high-density polyethylene. Polyethylene is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic produced by polymerisation of ethene. It belongs to the group of polyolefins. Unlike PVC, polyethylene consists only of hydrogen and carbon. HDPE can be recycled very well and is then named rHDPE, which is short for recycled HDPE. These materials are great for packaging of detergents, personal care products, crop protection products and oils.
