ALPLA Videobot - Plastic packaging saves CO₂
Plastic packaging is responsible for only a small amount of a person's total carbon footprint. Every person in the EU causes approximately 8.4 tonnes of carbon emissions a year. Packaging causes only a fraction in comparison to transport, energy and food, namely 0.6%. Due to its low weight, plastic packaging already saves a lot of CO₂ during transport. The lower melting point compared to glass means further CO₂ savings in production thanks to lower energy consumption. And if recycled material is used, the CO₂ footprint is reduced even further.
